Are you still trying to get your hands on a 3G iPhone? Fortunately, the folks over at TopMuffin, have created a site that checks Apple’s iPhone inventory every 15 minutes. It also lists such statistics as how many phones of a specific model are available overall in stores. I think the it’s pretty cool. However, the site does recommend that you call your local store before taking a trip. A lot can change in 15 minutes.
